We had Dr. Energy foam insulate and moisture barrier under our floors the week before Thanksgiving 2023. The quote was a little more than we had budgeted but we decided it was a good investment in our home. The very next day after the application we noticed a reduction in the cold air coming through the floors. We also noticed the creaking in the floors was pretty much eliminated and so was the echo associated with an open crawl space. We were curious about how long it would take to recoup the cost until the week of January 13, 2024, when the ice storm hit. We quickly realized this was more than an investment, it was about the quality of life. We were impressed that the insulation was keeping out the cold from the floors and reducing the amount of time the heaters were running. The technicians, Tyler and Austin, spent the entire day under our house doing the installation. They were professional, and courteous and kept us informed of their progress. At the end of the day, Tyler apologized for taking the entire day, but his reasoning was sound. He said, we could have done this quicker but we wanted to do it right. This is not about customer service, with Dr. Energy, it is about the customer experience, and it couldn’t have been any better.

We had Dr. Energy Saver foam insulate our attic, install new ground cover, install new galvanized vents and add a new drop-down ladder to our attic. They took less time than they quoted, and they did an exceptional job. I wish I remembered the names of the crew who did the foam installation of the attic and went under our house and installed the new ground cover, because they were very professional, polite, and did great work. Brice, Lylas C and Owen were the crew who installed the new drop-down ladder. They had to customize it to fit and it wasn’t an easy job but they did exceptional work, very professional, cleaned up afterwards and very nice! I would highly recommend them.

Though I went with a different company due to cost and time constraints, I'd like to do a call out to Harry who came out to provide an assessment and a quote for services. He was on time, willing to come earlier the day of, at my request, and thorough in his assessment. Unlike other contractors, he actually crawled under my house, took pictures and personally assessed the damage, which involved a great deal of mud and some dead mice/ rats too. He gave me a professional overview of what needed to be done, which was helpful in understanding the project. He was respectful of my short window of time and did not make me feel pressured or uncomfortable.

So far, have only had the assessment done, but was so impressed with Harry, the employee who inspected our crawl space and attic. I loved how the company provides you with a personalized description of the individual who will be coming to your home--really makes you feel more comfortable and reduces the anonymity and anxiety of interacting with a stranger in your living room. Harry was informative (used props to demonstrate insulation methods), thoughtful, thorough (took many photos during inspection), and did not feel like a salesperson. Would definitely recommend.

I decided to select Dr. Energy as a result of my confidence in the procedures and presentation described and written in the quote. Harry took the time to crawl through the crawl space and attic and backed his opinions with pictures. Follow up: the crew was John C... Eric Hi...n and Jared on a 106-degree day they pulled my insulation out. The next day put it in. They had no complaints and were grateful for the work. Their pictures verified they took no shortcuts. We had a sump pump installed under our home which needed relocation due to discharge difficulties (clogged rain drain). Walt, along with Silas and Austin came out today and did an excellent job with the Lawn-scape install. The sump discharge is now terminating a good distance away from the foundation and will hopefully solve our standing water issues. Garland came to our house and gave us a thorough inspection of our crawl space. He explained what was going on down there (lots of previous rodent infestations). He had pictures and explained exactly what they do to get rid of all the bad…insulation, moisture barrier and anything with the smells that attract the rodents and then install barriers to prevent their return and to eradicate any smells, etc. it is not cheap, but it seems like these guys will do a great job. I am really impressed with the professionalism and customer service of everyone we met. I want to give a shout-out to the install crew (Brandon, Tyler, Silas and Moses). We had enormous bad luck during install. Eweb closed off our road, but they adjusted and figured out a way to continue the work. Despite this HUGE inconvenience they never once were irritated or rushed the job. They just figured it out and went to work. In the afternoon, I fell down our stairs and broke my foot. They took my husband up to where we had parked our car and helped me to the car. They then called 4-5 times to check on me and update us on the project. The next day, they were kind and asked how I was doing. The work was great and so clean. I never saw a drop of insulation around after they left for the day. Just really amazing people, hard workers, and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them and their work! Thank you so much -- Brandon, Tyler, Silas and Moses.
